Is your child taking the CPS Regional Gifted Center (RGC) test for 1st grade this fall? Want to give your child some exposure to practice questions and find out your child's strengths & weaknesses? This is a unique online academic enrichment program that helps children ages 5-6 advance their thinking skills through a series of fun and intriguing questions, puzzle play and engaging brain boosting activities.
We'll spark your child's natural curiosity as they learn to focus, pay attention and experience significant academic gains in reading, math, listening, reasoning and vocabulary.
This program was designed by multi award-winning educator, children's book author and cyber security enthusiast: Lemi-Ola Erinkitola.

Programs support both selective enrollment gifted and classical test prep and teaches above grade level reading, math and critical thinking skills.
Practice skills include but not limited to:
COURSE SKILLS
S - spatial (sequencing patterns and shapes )
M - math (counting, adding, subtracting, fractions, telling time, word problems)
A - analogy (comparing and contrasting pictures and words)
R - reading (phonics, grammar, vocabulary)
T - thinking critically (abstract questioning)
Parent/caregiver participation and attendance is required. Parents must remain in virtual proximity.
Academic assessments and CTC prep workbooks (yellow, green and blue books) are not required for this class (but highly recommended) and can be purchased separately.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Inperson sessions in small groups ratio 4:1
- Instructional sessions in math, reading and critical thinking
- Recommended at-home activities to reinforce skills learned.
- Class Start Time Options: 9:00am - 10:30am, or 10:30am to 12pm or 12pm to 1:30pm
- Location - IIT Campus in southloop area - 10 West 35th Street (classroom TBD)
- Note - after registration you will be directed to a form to select your child's class start time.
OPTIONAL:
Academic assessments and CTC prep workbooks (yellow, green and blue books) are not required for this class (but highly recommended) and can be purchased separately.
TERMS/ REFUND POLICY:
- No refunds after the date of the first session. No make-up session permitted - no exceptions please.
- *Policy note- Student should stick to assigned session block as session transfer will result in additional fees.
- We reserve the right to cancel a session date if participation numbers are not adequate
- *Results may vary and placement into selective school for gifted program is not guaranteed.
